WINEGARTENS RAILWAY REGULATOR POCKET WATCH. A good, gentleman's Pocket Watch retailed by Winegartens of Bishopsgate, London and dating from c1910. This watch is a good example, in nice condition and in good working order. The watch was originally retailed by Winegartens and then re-sold by them in 1968. The accompanying receipt and five year guarantee giving details of the sale dated 1968. It has a base metal case, the back cover engraved "Winegarten's Railway Regulator around a locomotive. The case in very good condition, all covers screwing off/on smoothly as they should. Screwing off the rear of the case reveals the Swiss made, 7 jewel movement. It is in very good condition and working order. The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed Winegartens, 145 Bishopsgat4e, London E.C.2. The watch measures 57mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown). A good example of a railroad grade pocket watch in a solid gold case, in good condition and good working order. The 14 carat solid gold case is in excellent condition. The case stamped "Warranted 14K" for 14 carat gold. The case has an engraved inscription on the inner dust cover - see photo.
